Yes. Our mats are designed to sit happily on grass, dirt, sand or hard ground. The open weave lets water and air pass through so the grass underneath isn't smothered — you can leave your mat down for a weekend camp without killing the lawn. For longer stays we recommend lifting and moving the mat every few days.
Our recycled polypropylene weave reflects a good amount of heat and breathes well, so mats stay noticeably cooler underfoot than solid rubber or vinyl mats. On a scorching Aussie afternoon they'll warm up like anything left in the sun, but they're comfortable to walk on barefoot in most conditions.
Very. Give the mat a shake or sweep with a stiff broom to get rid of loose dirt and sand. For anything stickier, hose it down with plain water — no detergent needed. Let it dry fully before folding or rolling it back into its carry bag so it stores away neat and mould-free.
Every mat has reinforced corner eyelets that work with standard tent pegs. For sandy or windy sites we also sell our Mat Screw Kit — a set of screw-in anchors that grip much better than pegs. In calm conditions many customers happily use the mat without any fastening at all.
Yes. Every Mooving Mat is covered by a 12-month manufacturer's warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, and by the guarantees you have under the Australian Consumer Law. If something isn't right, email us and we'll sort it out.
That's the whole point. Our mats are woven from Australian recycled PET plastic bottles, diverting hundreds of bottles per mat away from landfill. The mats themselves are fully recyclable at the end of their life — send them back to us and we'll pass them on to be turned into the next generation of product.
No. The tight herringbone-style weave gives good grip underfoot, wet or dry — a real bonus around wet awnings, coastal camps or morning dew. They're safe for kids, dogs and grandparents alike.
Three ways. First, they're made from 100% Australian recycled bottles, not virgin plastic shipped in from overseas. Second, every design is fully reversible, so one mat gives you two campsite looks. Third, they're heavier gauge than most budget mats on the market, so they lie flat, don't curl at the edges and last season after season.
